I love “Winter Morning”, though it’s rarely so sunny as that in real life!
I could definitely use a bit more sun and even whiteness of snow. I’m about to head out riding and it looks like dusk at best – so gloomy. So mood-busting…
God, I know. I pumped myself up this morning to do something outdoorsy, but then… meh.
I was going to suggest meeting up for drinks today, then I barely made it back to my apartment bc of the blizzard and gololyod, so…another, safer time 🙂
Yup. Going to the market and being outside for 5 minutes today was more than enough for me…

I wish… it is sunny, I grant you that, but I’m shut up inside working… sigh.
It’s pretty grey in London too 😦 But thank you for brightening my day, this is a gorgeous post. I defy anyone to look at “Winter Morning” and not smile.
LOL, yes, it’s sort of the ‘perfect winter moment’ which is so elusive. When it happens – EVERYONE is outdoors, even when it’s -30C outside.
To everyone liking ‘Winter Morning’ — Russian winter is about 90% Savrasov’s ‘Winter Road.’ Le sigh…

That’s cool — I was about to say that I loved them all – but Winter Morning is easily my fave — seems loads of others feel the same way judging by the comments. Hard to resist that sunshine — since we all miss the hell out of it in the winter.
Well, the post I just put up gives a much more, ahem, realistic portrayal of the season 🙂
I could be a great Russian painter. I’d just leave the white canvas blank and call it “The Depths of Winter.”
You know, a lot of my winter photos basically look exactly like that 🙂
